Search Webpage


Search within a webpage

The purpose of this page is to help users find a specific word or phrase on a webpage with lots of text. These instructions refer to searching webpages on different browsers from various computing devices, such as desktop/laptop computers, tablets and mobile phones.

Computer

  1. On your computer, open webpage.
  2. Use the keyboard shortcuts Ctrl + f (Windows, Linux, and Chrome OS) or ⌘ + f (Mac)
  3. Type your search term in the bar that appears.
  4. Press Enter to search the page.
  5. Matching search term will be highlighted.


Android

  1. On your Android, open webpage.
  2. Select the text or phrase to find
  3. Access menu that looks like three (vertical) dots stacked up
  4. Select “Find … ”
  5. Type your search term.
  6. Tap Search
  7. Matching search term will be highlighted.


iPhone & iPad

  1. On your iPhone or iPad, open webpage.
  2. Select the text or phrase to find
  3. On the webpage, access menu icon
  4. Select “Find on Page“
  5. Enter your search term
  6. Matching search term will be highlighted.
  7. When you finished your search, tap Done.
